Notes
I supply a screw and a few washers to make sure this machine is compatible with different saw blades. Usually, 1 washer works perfectly fine, but experiment with the amount to find the perfect balance.
Be careful when using this machine - it is able to grind rock so if not used carefully it can grind your skin as well!
Always use water when cutting rocks, or the rock can overheat and dust will rise into the air.
This machine is designed to be compatible with many different saw blades, but it is not able to fit with each and every type of blade. This must be taken into account when purchasing lapidary supplies.
To screw the blade on, make sure it fits perfectly onto the arbor and press down while screwing so it does not slip off.
This saw is not designed to cut open large rocks. It is capable of cutting open small rocks, but it is mainly designed for trimming slabs. If you press too hard while cutting, the blade might slow down, so try to press gently enough that the rock can slide through smoothly.
Keep in mind, this machine is 3d-printed, which means care must be taken when working with it. This machine is designed to get people started with lapidary and hone their stone polishing skills. Do not leave it in the sun or near a source of heat.
